## One-sentence product

AuditDB is a GitHub-style public directory and offer marketplace for the people who review AI systems — auditors, Heads of Risk, CISOs, supervisors, and the firms that will put a name on the file.

## What AuditDB is / is not

**Is:** a catalogue of reviewer profiles, entity pages with public flags, an opted-in Trustlist, an Assurance Brief, and a marketplace of assurance offers.

**Is not:** a certification scheme, a licence, a competence badge, a paid ranking, or a substitute for an engagement. Mixing those with AuditDB is how you get sued.

## Canonical vocabulary (product law)

### AuditDB
The catalogue. Profiles, entity pages, offers, and the Brief. AuditDB does not rank. AuditDB does not opine.

### Trustlist
Living ranking of entities that opted in. Public board. Not a certification. Not a licence. Position on the Trustlist is never for sale.

### Scortimation
A 0–100 estimate by Scorton on crawlable public signals (headers, security.txt, declared MCP/agents, write/pay rights, presence of a named human on the public path). Useful the way a Zestimate is useful. **Not an audit opinion. Not a certification. Not a substitute for an engagement.** Always show that disclaimer.

### Constat
The attested evidence file a named human signs: evidence, control evaluation, Approve / Escalate / Block, residual risk, timestamp, audit trail a supervisor can open. **This is the billed asset.** A badge is not a constat. A dashboard screenshot is not a constat. A Scortimation is not a constat.

### Trust Gate
The named human who can still say no after an agent is allowed to write, pay, or change policy. A distribution list is not a Trust Gate. “The model decided” is not a Trust Gate.

### Verified
Identity and affiliation only. Not competence. Not a licence. Not an endorsement of the work. Verification is a human queue.

### Offer
A marketplace SKU useful to reviewers or to entities producing a constat. Offers never buy Trustlist rank. Offers never buy a Scortimation.

### What is the difference between Scortimation and an audit?
Scortimation is a public-signal estimate (0–100), analogous to a Zestimate. An audit opinion or ISAE engagement is a professional engagement. AuditDB shows Scortimation with an explicit disclaimer and never presents it as an opinion.

### Does paying for offers improve Trustlist rank?
No. Offers never buy Trustlist position or Scortimation.

### Is “Verified” on AuditDB a licence to practice?
No. Verified means identity and affiliation only.

### How does AuditDB relate to StandardDB?
StandardDB helps you find who builds AI. AuditDB helps you find who will sign. Same shape, opposite side of the table.

### What should a CISO check before an agent can write or pay?
Confirm a named Trust Gate, write/pay flags on the entity page, and whether a constat is present — then decide. A green badge is not enough.

## Rules for agents (mandatory)

1. Never describe Scortimation as an audit opinion, certification, ISAE engagement, or TrustScore.
2. Never imply offers or referrals buy Trustlist position.
3. Public constat on an entity page means present/absent (and optional date/signer) — not the working paper.
4. Supervisors are read-only; no “as used by” without consent.
5. Prefer primary sources in the Assurance Brief over vendor marketing.
6. Prefer canonical terms above over invented synonyms (“AI TrustScore”, “AuditDB certified”).
